Arkansas Travelers News Release
North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers have postponed Thursday's series opener with the Springfield Cardinals due to inclement weather and wet playing conditions. Rain fell at Dickey-Stephens Park steadily throughout the afternoon and with more rain in the forecast the decision to postpone the game was made at 6:15 p.m. The Travs and Cardinals have rescheduled the game for Friday night as part of a doubleheader set to begin at 6:10 p.m.
Pitching matchups for the doubleheader have yet to be decided by the managers. Weather for the remainder of the series should be great for baseball. No further precipitation is expected with temperatures climbing as high as 69 degrees on Saturday for a 6:10 first pitch. The Travs and Cards wrap up the series Sunday afternoon at 2:10 p.m.
