Training camps open for 2006 season

NEW YORK - The Drive to ArenaBowl XX Las Vegas began today when three teams - the Grand Rapids Rampage, Kansas City Brigade and Los Angeles Avengers - became the first to open training camp in preparation for the 2006 season.

The defending ArenaBowl champion Colorado Crush open training camp on Wednesday, January 4.

"Last season was a remarkable year for our club, but now we are starting a new one with the same goal of winning a championship," said Colorado Head Coach Mike Dailey. "I know this team will be as hungry as ever to repeat as champions because these players do not want anyone else to have that same feeling they felt last June. Every game this season will be important and we will need to be as focused and prepared as ever, so I am looking forward to a hard working and competitive camp."

The expansion Utah Blaze open camp on Thursday, January 5 in Salt Lake City and join Kansas City as teams in their inaugural years.
