KATY, TX - (February, 28th 2006) It's time to separate the men from the boys and the Katy Copperheads Training Camp this week is sure to do just that. With around 40 strong candidates still in the running, Coach Bryan Blake will have to decide which 25 will fill his championship roster.
"We will have our final team roster set by Friday, March 3," says Coach Blake. "I've been around this league a long time, and with our talent, I'm confident that we will have a championship caliber team that the city of Katy deserves. I'm very proud of every one of these young men, and would like to invite all Copperheads fans to come see their 2006 team practice this week at Rhodes Stadium."

The Katy Copperheads will play a 14 game schedule in 2006 consisting of seven home and seven away games. The home games will be played in the Leonard E. Merrell Center on the following dates:
- Saturday, March 11th, 2006 vs. Beaumont
- Saturday, March 18th, 2006 vs. St Louis
- Saturday, April 8th, 2006 vs. Montgomery
- Saturday, April 22nd, 2006 vs. Hammond
- Sunday, April 30th, 2006 vs. Bozeman
- Friday, June 9th, 2006 vs. Arkansas
- Saturday, June 24th, 2006 vs. Monroe
- Monday, July 10th, 2006* vs. TBA
