Texas Wildcatters News Release
Beaumont, TX (October 7, 2006) The Texas Wildcatters Hockey Team, ECHL affiliate of the AHL's Houston Aeros has invited a total of 29 players to training camp. 3 goaltenders, 9 defensemen and 17 forwards round out the initial roster. The roster includes 23 ECHL player contracts, 2 NHL player contracts and 4 players are invited as tryouts.

Also, joining Wildcatters training camp from AHL affiliate Houston are G: Miroslav Kopriva, D: Paul Albers and D: Riley Emmerson. With these additions, there are now 32 players in training camp with the Wildcatters.
Training camp runs through Wednesday, October 11 with a morning practice and a four on four scrimmage from 7pm to 8pm.
All training camp practices and the scrimmage are open to the public. After camp breaks in Beaumont, the Wildcatters will head to Florida for two preseason games on Friday, October 13 and Saturday, October 14 against the Florida Everblades before opening up the regular season on October 20 in Florida against the Everblades.
