Tucson, AZ - The first place Tucson Toros will have a chance to clinch a spot in the GBL playoffs in front of their own fans during a four game series beginning Friday, August 28th when they host the South Division's first half winner, the St. George Roadrunners.
In addition to the potential of celebratory champagne corks popping for the Toros, the skies themselves will be bursting on Friday with the final Fireworks Friday of the regular season.
On Saturday the team will give away the Tucson Toros 2009 Baseball Card Set to the first 2,000 fans through the gates with paid admission. The Toros will host an accompanying autograph session as a special thank you from the team from 5:00-5:45. Fans will be able to get their team sets signed by the players and coaching staff during the autograph session.
Wedding bells will be ringing at the ballpark on Sunday when the winners of this year's Toros Wedding package will be married at the game. The happy couple, Aaron and Amanda, competed with other finalists in contests on the field during the August 13th game, and came out victorious winning a Toros wedding package. The couple met playing softball, proposed during a Toros game and now will be married at the park! The game will also featured hot dogs for just $1.
Monday is Family Night, when families of up to five can get in (General Admission) for just $10. The game will mark the Toros final regular season game of the year, and hopefully sendoff into the playoffs if the team can clinch a postseason spot during the homestand. Tucson needs just two more wins to seal first place in the GBL Southern Division.
Aside from Saturday's special autograph session, gates open at 6:00 pm each night with game action set to start at 7:00 pm.
