Tucson Toros News Release
TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Toros have returned home after completing an extended road trip where they closed out the first half of their 2009 campaign and started the second half of their GBL season.
The week will kick off with a three game set as the Toros, (2-2) host the Victoria Seals, (4-6) of the North Division. The opening game of the series will feature Fireworks Friday as a post game display will dazzle those in attendance with Tucson's most innovative fireworks show.
On Saturday, the first 1000 kids, aged 3-13, with paid admission through the gates will receive a Back-To-School back pack that will be presented by Pima Community College and Home Depot.
To close out the three-game set, the Toros will host Dollar Dog and Dollar Taco Sunday.
On Tuesday, the Toros will commence play in another three game series as they host the North Division's top team, the Calgary Vipers, (9-3). Two For Tuesday specials will be in effect for the opening game of the series as fans will be able to enjoy buy-one get-one free tickets (general admission and upper reserved), hot dogs, soft drinks, margaritas and ice cold beer.
Wednesday's game will feature We Care Wednesday as the Primavera Foundation will be fundraising with the Toros.
To close out the series, the Toros will host the always popular Thirsty Thursday. Beer, iced tea, horchata, lemonade and soft drinks will all be $1.00, starting with the first pitch, for two hours.
Gates open at 6:00 pm each night with game action set to start at 7:00 pm.
