The Toronto Rock have traded defender Pat Coyle to the Vancouver Ravens. In exchange for Coyle the Toronto Rock will receive Vancouver's 2nd and 3rd round draft picks in the 2005 Entry Draft.
"This trade will benefit all parties involved. Vancouver is in need of strong defensive players and the Rock is in need of picks for future drafts. Pat has given Toronto 6 years of outstanding play and for that we thank him and wish him the best in Vancouver." Terry Sanderson, Toronto Rock Head Coach.
Coyle has spent 8 years with the National Lacrosse League and 6 of those with the Toronto Rock. He played in 16 regular season games during the 2003-2004 season; collecting 86 looseballs and serving a career low 19 penalty minutes. Having been with the franchise since its inception, Coyle has played in 93 regular season games; amassing 643 looseballs and serving a franchise leading 309 penalty minutes.
