Erie, Pennsylvania, Thursday, December 9 - The Toronto Raptors announced today that they have recalled center Solomon Alabi from the Erie BayHawks, their NBA Development League Affiliate.
Alabi, 7-foot-1, 250 pounds, has started all 7 games for Erie this season and averaged 8.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots 22.9 minutes of play. His blocked shot average is currently second in the league (Sean Williams, Texas, 3.5).
Alabi, a rookie out of Florida State, will be back with the Raptors when they host the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
The BayHawks roster now stands at 11 players, with Christian Eyenga still on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Erie (4-3) returns home Friday and Saturday, December 10 and 11, to play host to the Maine Red Claws (3-4) at 7pm each night.
