Toronto Drops 4-0 Decision against Lake Erie

The Toronto Marlies dropped a 4-0 decision today against the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, in front of 4,472 fans at Ricoh Coliseum.

Despite outshooting the Monsters 14-9 in the first period, Lake Erie took a 2-0 lead into the second frame on goals from Geoff Walker and Tyson Barrie. Thomas Pock's powerplay goal early in the second period made it 3-0 for the Monsters. Luke Walker added an empty net goal to secure the win for Lake Erie.

The Marlies will play three games in three nights starting on Friday when they travel to Copps Coliseum to play the Hamilton Bulldogs - AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. Toronto then returns home to play Hamilton and Grand Rapids on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
