State College Spikes News Release

JAMESTOWN, NY -- Wednesday's scheduled game between the State College Spikes and the Jamestown Jammers at Russell Diethrick Park has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will make up the game as part of a doubleheader starting at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday. Per Minor League Baseball rules, both games will be seven innings in duration.

Pitching matchups for the two games are not yet determined.

The doubleheader will complete a four-game road trip for the Spikes, who will return home on Friday to meet the Auburn Doubledays for a 7:05 p.m. matchup. It will be a 4 for $44 Friday at the ballpark, as fans can get four Diamond Club seats, four hot dogs, and four small sodas for just $44. Fans can also enter to win a trip for two to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, including two nights of oceanfront accomodations, round-trip air for two, and two tickets to a live entertainment show.

The Zooperstars will make their return to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park as well with their array of wild animal characters, and it's also EMS and Medical Appreciation Night as well as Size Matters Night, presented by VisitMyrtleBeach.com. After the game, kids can run the bases.

For ticket information, visit the Spikes Box Office at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, call the Spikes toll-free at (877) 99-SPIKES, or log on to StateCollegeSpikes.com.
