MIDDLETOWN, N.J. - The Johnstown Tomahawks were shut out by the New Jersye Titans 4-0 Saturday night at Middletown Ice World.

Scoring Breakdown:

1st Period Recap

Johnstown earned several quality chances for a goal throughout the first period as they collected 17 shots on net.

The Titans nearly gained an early 1-0 lead when Kyle Jeffers sent a shot on net with Tomahawks netminder Cooper Lukenda sprawled in the blue paint. However, Lukenda made the save to keep it scoreless.

Both teams skated into intermission scoreless.

2nd Period Recap

Tomahawks forward Roman Kraemer nearly put the Tomahawks up 1-0 midway through the second period but his shot rung of the cross bar.

New Jersey gained a 1-0 lead at the 13:27 mark with a goal from Spencer Stanley.

Chris Garbe put the Titans up 2-0 with a goal at 15:54.

3rd Period Recap:

The Titans increased their lead to 3-0 with a shorthanded goal from Gavin Gulash.

New Jersey added another shortanded goal from Kyle Jeffers to set the final score at 4-0.

Johnstown returns to 1ST SUMMIT ARENA Wednesday, March 6 for a 7 p.m. faceoff with Jamestown.

The homestand continues on Friday, March 8 for Fight Night II presented by Valley Printing. Four-time ECW Heavyweight Champion, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas will drop the ceremonial first puck and sign autographs.

Saturday, March is the annual Guns & Hoses game in conjunction with Brett Keisel Night. The two-time Super Bowl Champion will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck and sign autographs for fans.
