
Tomahawks Fall in Shootout Friday

New Jersey came out flying against the Tomahawks to start the game, with a total of 17 shots on goal in the 1st period. Nick Ring opened the scoring for the Titans 5:27 in, followed by a second New Jersey goal to put the Titans up by 2 going into the intermission.
Coming out to start the 2nd period, Jacob Badal netted his fifth goal of the season on the power play, putting the Tomahawks on the board and making it a one-goal game just 20 seconds into the period. After a handful of penalties due to tensions raising throughout the tightly contested game, the Titans carried the one-goal lead into the 3rd period.
Stephen Kyrkostas tied the game for the Tomahawks with a short-handed goal 7:36 into the 3rd period. Regulation ended tied at 2, sending the game to overtime. After an intense, back and forth overtime, the game was still undecided and went to a shootout, where the Titans eventually won the game by a final of 3-2.
The Tomahawks and Titans face off again tomorrow, October 30 at 7 PM for our Breast Cancer Awareness Night Presented by Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center and Halloween Night. Tickets can be purchased through ticketmaster.com or through the Tomahawks office.
