The Johnstown Tomahawks suffered a 4-0 loss to the New Jersey Titans on Friday night.
Despite 27 combined shots on goal, with 20 being registered by the Tomahawks, the first period ended scoreless in Middletown.
Brendan Dumas finally opened the scoring for New Jersey with 3:52 remaining in the period. Johnstown added on 12 more shots in the second period, but were still unable to solve Titans netminder Zakari Brice.
New Jersey lead the way in the third period with goals from Owen Luik and Ryan Novo coming just 1:07 apart to give the Titans a 3-0 lead in the late stages of the game. Dumas netted his second goal of the game with 2:27 remaining in regulation to secure the 4-0 win for his club.
Johnstown and New Jersey will face off again tomorrow, February 25 at 7 PM at the Middletown Ice World Arena. The game will be broadcasted live on HockeyTV.
