Toledo Royal Knights News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that the ownership of the Toledo Ice has been transferred to Chris Dotson, Chairman/CEO of Chris Dotson, Inc., owners of SoulRiver Records Corporation, a music/record company and Push Studios, a music video and film production company. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "Chris has an extensive background as a performer, songwriter, musician, producer, artist, developer, marketer and multi-media entrepreneur with a great love of basketball. He will be putting all of these talents in play to help make the Toledo Ice a truly exciting, fun-filled sports and entertainment experience. He has already put together an excellent group of basketball people and assures us that he will be ready to compete when the season begins in November."

"I had some involvement with the team last year and saw enough to know that Toledo is a great ABA city," said Dotson. "The coach and players represented themselves well, the press and media were very encouraging and supportive, the community got behind the team. While there were some problems, they were nothing that can't be resolved and we know that we can make Toledo proud."

"I am from Toledo and began my musical career here when we founded The Dotson's, an all family vocal group consisting of my four brothers, Chester "Life Jennings," Jay, Tim and me," continued Dotson. "Owning the Toledo Ice fits beautifully into our diversified company and we will do it right. Get ready for some great surprises, including some big name entertainment to go along with great basketball."

SoulRiver/Gant Pictures is producing a feature film "Make it Funky" this year as well as a film soundtrack and solo album, "Chance." Chris Dotson Inc. has offices in Minnesota, Ohio, Michigan and California.
