Orlando Titans News Release
ORLANDO, Fla. (Aug. 28, 2010) -- It's been less then three weeks since the announcement was made that Orlando would become home to a National Lacrosse League team, but there's been plenty of news and activity during that time period as the Titans prepare to open play at the Amway Arena in January.

A NEW HOME
The Titans Front Office is located at 7901 Kingspointe Parkway, Suite 9, Orlando, FL 32819. The ground floor office complex has plenty of complimentary parking for Titans fans needing to visit the office. Plans are underway to eventually open a team store in the facility.
STAFFING IT UP
Team President Steve Donner continues to build a front office staff that includes a solid mix of lacrosse executives and sports professionals familiar with the Orlando market. Recent hires include Nathan Snyder as the team's Director of Lacrosse Development and Operations. Snyder, who held a similar post with the NLL's Rochester Knighthawks, will be in charge of all aspects of lacrosse development including clinics, camps, and serving as team liaison with amateur teams. Dan Pearson, a sports information specialist who has spent 20+ years in the Orlando market working with the Orlando Predators, Florida Citrus Sports, the XFL and Boardwalk and Baseball, has accepted the position of Vice President of Public Relations. A ticket executive with several professional teams, Ben Davis, will serve as Director of Ticket Sales for the Titans; while former Tampa Bay Lightning account executive Brett Buda will assist Davis as the team's Ticket Operation Manager. Kristi Peltier, who worked with the Predators in operations and marketing, is the team's new Marketing Services Manager. Recent U Mass graduate Brittany Garber begins his career as Customer Services Specialist. The team is expected to announce several new staff members in the near future.
SEASON TICKET SALES REMAIN HOT
Without launching its first media campaign, sales of Orlando Titans season tickets remain brisk. To date, more than 300 season tickets have been sold and group holds have been placed on an addition 150 season tickets. The team continues to offer a $69 introductory price on a lower bowl season ticket. Fans can call 407-601-6516 for more information.
MISSION STATEMENT
The commitment to grow the game of lacrosse at both the amateur and professional levels, along with a pledge to provide a first class sports entertainment experience can be found in the Orlando Titans Mission Statement, which reads:
"Serving our fans with pride and passion while always seeking to exceed expectations in affordability, customer service, community involvement and overall sports entertainment experience the ORLANDO TITANS strive to become champions on the field and within our community as we grow the game of lacrosse at both the professional and amateur levels."
CASEY AND JARRETT APPEAR
NLL superstar Casey Powell and rising star Jarrett Park made their first visit to Orlando this week to locate housing and get "the lay of the land." Both players expressed a desire to promote lacrosse and the Titans to the Orlando community.
MEETINGS
Titans officials spent time this week meeting with several potential media partners and also met with the Orlando Sports Commission, to discuss the possibility of bringing youth and college invitational tournaments to Central Florida.
WEB SITE LAUNCHED With the August 12 announcement of the Titans coming to Orlando, the team also announced that its new website, www.orlandotitans.com was up and running. The site contains the latest news on the Titans.
SCHEDULE COMING SOON NLL officials continue to work diligently on the 2010 schedule and it should be ready in the next few weeks. The league did inform the Titans that the team's first home game will be January 8 in Amway Arena.

The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is North America's professional indoor lacrosse league, featuring the best lacrosse players in the world. Founded in 1987, the league begins its 24th season of play in January 2010. Average attendance for the 2009 season was more than 10,000 fans per game, with several games played in front of crowds in excess of 16,000 fans.
