Cedar Rapids River Kings News Release
Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Titans have signed former Florida State University offensive lineman Henry Orelus. Orelus (6'3", 300 lbs.) joins the Titans for his second season in the Indoor Football League after spending last season with the Bemidji Axemen. He appeared in four games for Bemidji before suffering a season-ending injury.
Orelus spent four years at Florida State, appearing in 14 games. He saw action in the Seminoles' season opener against Murray State his junior year (2012). He played in 13 games during his redshirt freshman year in 2010, four of which he started. Orelus did not play his sophomore season (2011) due to injury and utilized his redshirt as a true freshman in 2009.
After completing his undergraduate degree at Florida State, Orelus transferred to the University of Akron where he appeared in 10 games in his final year of eligibility.
"I want to thank the coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to join a great organization," Orelus stated. "I am looking forward to getting to Cedar Rapids, meeting the Titans fan base, and taking care of business on the field."
