Chris Cimmino went 1-3 as the Pittsfield Suns (8-9) took home a 5-4 victory over the Torrington Titans (7-11) in eight innings at Fuessenich Park on Tuesday.
He doubled in the sixth inning.
Declan Cronin put together a nice outing. Cronin held the Torrington Titans hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three.
Despite the loss, the Torrington Titans' Nick Mondak dominated the Pittsfield Suns' batters, giving up two runs and striking out eight.
Nick Lamberti went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Torrington Titans. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings.
Matt Cuneo got the win, running his season record to 3-0. Cuneo struck out one, walked two and gave up two hits.
Mondak was charged with his first loss of the year.
