Titans Host Free "New York Songwriters Circle" Concert on Saturday, April 11

Newark, NJ - April 7, 2009 - On Saturday, April 11th lacrosse fans attending the New York Titans 7:30 p.m. home game against the East Division leading and defending National Lacrosse League Champion Buffalo Bandits will be treated to live musical performances by up-and-coming independent artists as part of the teams "New York Songwriters Circle Night" at the Prudential Center. Lacrosse player extraordinaire and fast rising independent singer/songwriter Mikey Powell will kick off the night's musical event with an acoustical guitar performance at half-time and join 2008 New York Songwriters Circle songwriting contest winner and Cosmopolitan Star Launch Winner Mieka Pauley for a post game concert.
The Titans "New York Songwriters Circle Night" will also give aspiring singers/songwriters the opportunity to meet face-to-face with New York Songwriters Circle CEO Billy Gaus, creative director, accomplished songwriter and President of the New York Songwriters Circle Tina Shafer and music producer and COO of the Songwriters Circle, Shai Navon. "We're very excited to continue our great relationship with the New York Titans," said Circle CEO Bill Gaus. "Saturday's event is a great example of the type of events we offer aspiring singer/songwriters to meet influential music industry executives and generate the exposure they need to launch their careers."
Mark Ford, President of the New York Titans said today, "We are continually pushing the envelope for professional indoor lacrosse entertainment and Saturday is no exception. We're proud to host the Songwriters Circle and their artists while providing a night of great entertainment to the best fans in the league as we push for the NLL Playoffs."
