CEDAR RAPIDS, IA:Coming off a 9-5 season and trip to the United Conference Championship game the Titans look to build on last season's success. The team made that statement loud and clear on Monday announcing that the team has come to terms with head coach Mark Stoute on a two-year contract extension.

Stoute, the 2013 Indoor Football League Coach of the Year took over the Titans in 2013 and took the third year to their first postseason appearance in franchise history. Last season was Stoute's first season coaching in the IFL having spent the previous 19 years coaching in the Arena Football League. On the field Stoute handled the defensive play calling for a Titans defense that finished 2nd in the IFL.

This season Stoute will move over to the offensive side of the ball, calling the Titans offense. The team welcomes IFL veteran LB Ameer Ismail to serve as the Titans defensive coordinator. The team also announced the return of special teams coordinator Michael "The King" Custer and the addition of defensive backs coach Terry Bates.

Titans fans will recognize Ismail from his days facing the Titans having spent the 2012 season with the Bloomington Edge and last season with the Chicago Slaughter. He was named IFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 1st team all IFL last season. The Western Michigan graduate was an undrafted free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2007.

The Titans kick off their third IFL season in their new home, the US Cellular Center in downtown Cedar Rapids on Saturday, February 15, 2014 as they host the IFL's newest team, the Bemidji Axemen from Bemidji, MN. Season tickets are now on sale for the 2014 season starting at just $49.
