- ATTENDANCE CONTINUES TO SOAR: The 2005 season has produced three of the top five all-time average attendance weeks. Attendance for the sixth week of the 2005 AFL season averaged 13,917, making it the AFL's third-highest weekend of all time and the highest Week 6 ever.
The 2005 six-week cumulative average of 12,996 is up eight percent vs. 2004's season average (12,024) and up three percent vs. 2004's year-to-date average (12,640). The Georgia Force set a new attendance record for the third consecutive game with a crowd of 14,104 at Philips Arena.

- FAN INTEREST UP: According to a recently released ESPN Sports Poll, interest in the Arena Football League increased in 2004 when compared to 2003. Interest was up four percent among the U.S. population, three percent among sports fans and two percent for both NFL and college football fans.
- GRIEB HONORED WITH FIRST EVER AFL MAXWELL AWARD: On Friday, March 4, the prestigious Maxwell Football Club named San Jose quarterback Mark Grieb the recipient of their first ever Arena Football League Player of the Year award for his outstanding performance during the 2004 season.
Grieb set AFL records last season for completion percentage (73.0) and passer rating (133.5). More importantly, he led San Jose to an 11-5 regular-season record and the ArenaBowl championship, where he was named Offensive MVP.
The Maxwell Football Club honors excellence in football on all levels, including high school, college and professional.
