PORTLAND, Ore. - Major League Soccer today announced the list of players eligible for selection in the 2011 MLS Re-Entry Process, which begins with Stage 1 on Monday, Dec. 5. Click here for the list of eligible players in the Re-Entry Process.

Following Stage 1, the draft's Stage 2 will take place on Monday, Dec. 12. The two drafts will take place via teleconference with all 19 clubs represented. Both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 drafts will be conducted in the same order as the traditional Waiver Draft.

Clubs must exercise the option for or extend a Bona Fide Offer to all players selected in Stage 1. Players that were out of contract may either accept or reject the Bona Fide Offer. Should a player reject the offer, the drafting club will hold the right of first refusal for that player in MLS. Players with option years left on their contract will automatically be added to the drafting club's roster.

All players who remain unselected after Stage 2 will be available to any MLS club on a first come, first served basis.

Clubs may still sign their Re-Entry Process eligible players through Friday, Dec. 2. Additionally, eligible players may opt out of the Re-Entry Process between now and 2 p.m. (PT) on Friday.

Timbers to unveil new third kit Tuesday, Dec. 6

The Timbers and adidas will unveil the club's new official third kit, set to debut during the 2012 season, on Tuesday, Dec. 6.

Limited-edition, authentic third-jersey gift sets will be available for purchase at the adidas Timbers Team Store at JELD-WEN Field. New extended holiday hours for the adidas Timbers Team Store run through Dec. 24, open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Defenders Eric Brunner, David Horst wrap up "˜Movember'; raise over $1,000 in donations

Portland's Eric Brunner and David Horst wrapped up their month-long "Movember" journeys Wednesday. The pair grew mustaches during the month of November in support of awareness for men's health and prostate cancer. Together, the two center backs have raised over $1,000 in donations since Nov. 1.

Dozens of players around MLS participated in Movember by growing a mustache and helping to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Timbers to open second MLS season at JELD-WEN Field March 12

Earlier this week, the Timbers announced that the club will open its second MLS season on Monday, March 12, at JELD-WEN Field. The featured Monday match wraps up the league's opening week of the regular season and First Kick, presented by Dick's Sporting Goods.

Details regarding the opponent, a kickoff time and broadcast information for First Kick will be included as part of the entire regular-season schedule, which will be announced upon its completion in the coming weeks. Click here for more information on the Timbers' 2012 season opener.

Season tickets for the Timbers' 2012 campaign have sold out. Due to increased demand, the Timbers raised the number of season tickets available by more than 2,000 seats, capping season ticket sales at 14,750 seats. With a $50 per-seat refundable deposit to join the waiting list, fans can secure the chance to purchase season tickets when they become available, have priority for additional ticket plans released by the club and have access to special pre-sale opportunities among other benefits.

Timbers 2012 open tryout near capacity; space available in Timbers U-23s combines

The Timbers' 2012 open tryout will take place at JELD-WEN Field in roughly six weeks and space as nearly filled up. The club's first-team tryout will be held Jan. 14-15, at JELD-WEN Field in downtown Portland. Players must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Additionally, the Timbers' development team, the Timbers U-23s, has scheduled a pair of two-day tryouts in 2012 leading up to its fourth season in the Premier Development League. The Timbers U-23s will hold their two-day tryouts March 10-11 and March 24-25, 2012. The tryouts will take place in the Portland area; the tryout location will be announced at a later date. Timbers COO Mike Golub, several club executives recognized by MLS

Prior to MLS Cup 2011 in Los Angeles earlier this month, MLS held its annual end-of-year awards banquet to recognize individuals and clubs for outstanding contributions off the playing field.

At the ceremony, Timbers Chief Operating Officer Mike Golub was named the Doug Hamilton Executive of the Year for 2011, leading a total of six individual and club honors awarded to the Timbers. Several members of the team's ticket sales staff were recognized also. To learn more about the clubs honors and achievements, click here.

Sr. Vice President of Business Development/Broadcasting Ryan Brach was named the MLS Corporate Partnerships Executive of the Year, Vice President of Ticket Sales Joe Cote was named the MLS Ticketing Executive of the Year, Vice President of Business Operations & Marketing Cory Dolich was named the MLS Marketing Executive of the Year and Timbers Director of Digital Media Brian Costello was the recipient of Local Digital Editor of the Year for 2011.

On the team side, the Timbers were awarded Operations Staff of the Year.

MLS to hold 2012 SuperDraft on Jan. 12 in Kansas City, Mo.

MLS will hold its 2012 SuperDraft, presented by adidas, on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Mo. The first round of the SuperDraft will be broadcast live on ESPN2, beginning at 9 a.m. (PT).

In 2012, the MLS SuperDraft will consist of two rounds and include 38 overall selections; 2012 MLS expansion club Montreal holds the No. 1 overall selection. For the eighth consecutive year, the MLS SuperDraft will be held in conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention. The upcoming adidas MLS Player Combine will once again be held in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., prior to the SuperDraft.

Additionally, a four-round Supplemental Draft will take place via conference call on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012.

"˜Talk Timbers,' presented by JELD-WEN Windows & Doors, to continue during offseason

The Timbers' weekly radio talk show, "Talk Timbers," presented by JELD-WEN Windows & Doors, will continue during the offseason, airing each Tuesday, starting at 6 p.m., on 750 AM The Game. Hosted by John Strong, Talk Timbers will feature interviews with club officials, coaches, players and special guests. The show will continue to provide team news and the latest information from around MLS.
