Timbers to Host 2011 Corporate Cup Finals at Jeld-Wen Field Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers will host the finals of the 2011 Corporate Cup at JELD-WEN Field Saturday morning.

Four teams from local businesses Nike, Tursi's Soccer Store and UPS advanced out of qualifying play the weekend of July 8-10 to reach the finals.

In the co-ed bracket, Nike clashes with Tursi's Soccer Store at 8 a.m. after both teams stormed through their qualifying matches earlier this month.

The Nike men's team also reached the finals, where they will square off with UPS at 10 a.m.

Corporate team supporters, including friends, family and co-workers are encouraged to attend the Championship matches.

Tickets to the charity soccer event are $5 each to benefit Timbers Community Pillar Partner, Portland YouthBuilders (PYB). Each admission ticket comes with five raffle tickets and the chance to win Timbers team-signed merchandise, including a Rose City Red authentic jersey and an XBOX 360 gaming console. Raffle prizes will be drawn at halftime of each match.

Timber Joey will be on-hand for the trophy presentations.

Teams from adidas, CMD Agency, and Wieden + Kennedy also participated in the 2011 Corporate Cup.

Match Schedule 7 a.m.: Gate 35 open to the public 8 a.m.: Co-ed Championship Match (Nike vs. Tursi's Soccer Store) 10 a.m.: Men's Championship Match (Nike vs. UPS)

Stadium Entry Enter via Gate 35 at the south end of the stadium (SW 18th Ave. and SW Salmon), near the KeyBank Club entrance.
