Timber Rattlers Opening Week Festivities Begin Tuesday

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers play their first game on Thursday, April 8. But, fans do not have to wait that long to meet the team and check out many of the new features at Time Warner Cable Field. There are several Timber Rattlers events taking place this week.

Tuesday, April 6; Palermo's Pizza Fan Fest - Fans may get their first on-field glimpse of the 2010 team during this free event at Time Warner Cable Field from noon until 5:30pm. The Rattlers will practice and play a simulated game on the field. There is free parking and free admission for fans along with a punch card good for a free hotdog, free box of popcorn, free soda, and a free slice of Palermo's Pizza. There will be tours of the ballpark during the afternoon and an autograph session after the simulated game.

Wednesday, April 7; Leadoff Experience - The Wave Bar & Ballroom will be the site of the 2010 welcome banquet. Fans have the opportunity to eat dinner with a player. The evening begins with a social hour/autograph session at 5:30pm. There is also an interactive program as fans ask questions of the players and coaches after dinner. Additionally, Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin is a special guest and will take part in a question and answer session with Timber Rattlers radio announcer Chris Mehring.

Thursday, April 8; Opening Night - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Kane County Cougars begin the 2010 Midwest League season at 6:35pm. All fans entering Time Warner Cable Field for the first game of the year will receive a giveaway. The giveaway is a bobblehead depicting Fang, the mascot of the Timber Rattlers, and Bernie Brewer, the mascot of the Milwaukee Brewers, kicking back on a beach in honor of the new beach seating area at the home of the Timber Rattlers.

The Timber Rattlers front office is finalizing a few other details for Opening Night and more details will be released on Tuesday.
