Timber Rattlers get back to work Tuesday

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers welcome some old friends to town as a second half playoff push resumes on Tuesday, June 30. The Clinton LumberKings, the Midwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, are managed by former Timber Rattlers player, manager, and coach Scott Steinmann. The LumberKings also have several ex-Rattlers players on their roster.

The current Timber Rattlers are off to a 3-1 start in the second half of the season and hold first place in the Western Division. Clinton is 2-2 and just one game behind the Rattlers. The two Midwest League Rivals have a four game series scheduled for Time Warner Cable Field from June 30 through July 3.

Below are some quick bullet points regarding special events during the series:

- Tuesday, June 30 @ 7:05pm; Bang for Your Buck Night. Soda, hotdogs, and beer are available for $1. Also, the first 1,000 fans into the stadium will receive a luggage tag from Outagamie County Regional Airport.

- Wednesday, July 1 @ 12:05pm; Canada Day! The Timber Rattlers will be celebrating the Maple Leaf, Hockey, and all things Canada as part of this holiday for our neighbors to the north. Also, it's American Win-It Wednesday. All fans 16 years of age and older will receive a scratch-off ticket. Every ticket is a winner with prizes from the Timber Rattlers and American of Appleton.

- Thursday, July 2 @ 7:05pm; Wily Peralta Player Magnet Giveaway from Lamers Bus Lines. The first 500 fans will receive a magnet featuring Timber Rattlers All-Star pitcher Wily Peralta. This is the first in a series of four magnet giveaways this season. Also, Thirsty Thursday with $1 soda and $1 Miller products.

- Friday, July 3 @ 7:05pm; Military Appreciation Night. Active duty and retired military personnel will receive a free reserved seat ticket to this game by showing a military ID. The ID must belong to the holder and be shown at the ticket office on the day of the game to receive the free ticket. The Marvel superhero Spider-Man will be on hand to meet fans, sign autographs, and pose for pictures throughout the game. North Shore Bank Family Night with Kids 12 and under eating free. Kids 14 and under will have the opportunity to run the bases after the post-game fireworks display.
