Timashov, Guindon and Audette named the three stars for the month of October

BOUCHERVILLE, Saturday November 1st, 2014 - Dmytro Timashov, Louis-Philip Guindon and Daniel Audette were named today the three stars for the month of October.

The first star of the month is awarded to Quebec Remparts' forward, Dmytro Timashov. He tallied 23 points and maintained a +15 rating in just 11 games. He scored 2 or more points in seven of his games. His best game of the month occurred last night against the Shawinigan Cataractes as he got 5 points, 2 of which were goals. He is now the second leading scorer of the league with 33 points, one behind the leader.

Louis-Philip Guindon of the Drummondville Voltigeurs is the second star of the month. The goalkeeper had a record of 5 wins, 1 loss and 2 losses in shootout. He allowed his team to collect 12 out of a possible 16 points. During the month, he maintained a goals against average of 1.84 and a save percentage of .937. In seven of his games, he made "‹"‹25 or more saves and had a save percentage higher than .900. Last night, he had one of his best games of the month against the Rimouski Océanic as he made 31 saves in a 3-2 win. He now maintains a goals against average of 2.34, which puts him second in the league behind leader, Alexandre Bélanger (2.12).

The third star of the month is awarded to the Sherbrooke Phoenix forward Daniel Audette. In 11 games, he scored 22 points including 11 goals on 32 shots. He got at least one point in 10 of 11 games and was named the first star of the game on three occasions. His best game was on October 24, against the Moncton Wildcats where he set a team record with 6 points. The Montreal Canadiens prospect now has 26 points in 15 games since the start of the season.
