ORLANDO PREDATORS

PREDS CARE PACKAGES -- Select members of the United States Armed Forces serving in Afghanistan will shortly be able to experience some of the comforts home, thanks to the Orlando Predators Dance Team. During the past month, the members of the "Prowlers" have been busy securing sponsors and collecting donations in order to provide "CARE" packages for United States soldiers serving overseas.

Daimwood and the Dance Team spent considerable time researching what should go in the packages. The answer came back that the soldiers were in need of such items as toiletries, foot powder, and snacks. In addition, the Dance Team learned that things to help fight boredom - like magazines, sporting equipment, and playing cards - were also appreciated.

To make the packages more personal to the Predators organization, the Dance Team also included pennants, autographed Prowler photos, customized T-shirts and pennants in the packages. Shipped from Orlando, the packages should arrive in Afghanistan and be delivered to the soldiers in next four to six weeks.

NEW JERSEY GLADIATORS

June 23 -- The New Jersey Gladiators have announced that they are organizing an American Cancer Society Fundraiser next Sunday, June 23 when the Gladiators host their division rivals, the Buffalo Destroyers. Kickoff is slated for 3:00 P.M. (ET). In an effort to team up with the American Cancer Society, the New Jersey Gladiators are selling $20 lower level seats and are donating more than half of the proceeds to the organization.
