
Thunder to Host Chicago Blackhawks Night February 14

The Bloomington Thunder are proud to announce their home game on Friday, Feb. 14 has been declared "Chicago Blackhawks Night," featuring Blackhawks-themed giveaways and an appearance from Blackhawks Ambassador and Hockey Hall-of-Famer Tony Esposito.
Esposito, who played parts of 15 seasons between the pipes for Chicago, will be on hand to sign autographs before the game and during intermissions on the U.S.
Cellular Coliseum concourse. Free color photos will be available at the autograph table, and the Blackhawks' legend will also drop the ceremonial first puck of the game.
In addition, the night will include a number of Blackhawks-themed giveaway items, beginning with a 2013 Stanley Cup Champions team photo to the first 1,000 fans through the doors. During each period, lucky fans have the opportunity to win pairs of Blackhawks' tickets to an upcoming game, plus, one lucky fan will be chosen from those in attendance to be the grand prize winner, and will take home an autographed Patrick Kane jersey.
Other Blackhawks' contests and video messaging will run in the arena and on the video board throughout the course of the game.
The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. against the Mississippi RiverKings, while doors open at 6:05 p.m. For tickets and more information, please contact the Thunder office at 309-434-2980. The Thunder are in the Florida panhandle for 7:05 p.m. games on Friday and Saturday against the Pensacola Ice Flyers before returning home to face the Peoria Rivermen on Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday is Pack the House Night in which fans can get a ticket for only $2 when presenting a voucher found at www.bloomingtonthunder.com as well as the Thunder's Facebook and Twitter feeds to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum box office, and hot dogs, soda, popcorn and drafts are also $2 all night.
Illinois Pro Sports(owner of theThunder and Peoria Rivermen) announced on December 11, 2013 their partnership with the defending Stanley Cup championsfor the 2013-14 season to help grow the game of hockey throughout central and downstate Illinois.
