
Thunder Increases League-Record Winning Streak To Five

CHICAGO, ILL., April 1, 2002_ The Chicago Thunder defeated the St. Louis Quest 3-2 Monday night in U.S. Pro Volleyball (USPV) action at Loyola University's Gentile Center.
Makare Wilson led Chicago with 16.5 points (14 kills), while Downers Grove native Terri Zemaitis-Boumans won the match with a kill at the net in Game 5. Chicago won the match 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 18-25, 15-10.
Benishe Roberts led St. Louis with 21 points and 15 kills. Amber Woolsey added 6.5 blocks. Sarah Butler chipped in 20 points and 15 kills.
The victory increased Chicago's league-record winning streak to five matches. Chicago is now 8-4 (21 points) and trails first place Minnesota by 7 points. The Thunder, who has been involved in four straight 5-game matches, has also won 7 of its last 8 matches.
Chicago travels to Grand Rapids tomorrow night before hosting its final match at Loyola this Thursday against league leader Minnesota at 7 p.m. Chicago returns to Saint Xavier University next Friday against St. Louis.
