Quest Middle Blocker Roberts Named Player Of The Month

April 2, 2002 - United States Professional Volleyball League (USPV) News Release

ST. LOUIS, Mo., April 2, 2002_ St. Louis Quest middle blocker Benishe Roberts (Long Beach State University) has been named U.S. Pro Volleyball (USPV) Player Of The Month for March.

During that time frame, Roberts twice broke the league single-match scoring record, including an amazing 33 point effort in a 3-2 loss to Chicago on March 22.

Roberts also tied the league mark for kills in a match with 25, tied the single-match record for blocks (7) and set the single-match record for most block assists (12).

Roberts averaged 22.9 points, 16.8 kills, 4.9 blocks and 10.8 digs for the month.

Currently, Roberts leads the USPV in blocks (4.0) and hitting percentage (.372) and is second in the league in scoring (17.7 ppm) and third in kills (12.6 kpm).

Chicago outside hitter Kristee Porter won the first USPV Player Of The Month Award for February.
