Portland Thunder News Release
PORTLAND - The Portland Thunder, head coach Mike Hohensee, and his staff have mutually agreed to part ways, electing not to renew their contracts, the team announced Monday afternoon.
Management would like to thank Coach Hohensee and his staff for their service to this team, these players, the front office, and the fans this past year, and we wish them all well in their future endeavors.
Hohensee originally signed a one year contract with the organization in September, 2014. The 2015 AFL season was his 29th season as a player or coach in the Arena Football League. Hohensee finished the regular season 5-13, while dropping a 55-28 decision against San Jose in the National Conference Quarterfinal on 8/14/15.
The Thunder's search for a head coach will begin immediately.
