Thunder Fall Late to Rival Bandits
August 14, 2008 - National Pro Fastpitch (NPF)
Rockford Thunder News Release
The Rockford Thunder went deep three times Thursday night, but could not hold onto a 4-2 lead and eventually lost on the road, 5-4.
Outfielder Kristen Zaleski drove in two, while going 1-for-2, and Savannah Brown and Stephanie Best each also homered for Rockford.
The Bandits' come-from-behind victory was due mainly to a three-run jack by Kristie Fox.
Allison Kime took the loss for Rockford, allowing four earned runs over four-plaus innings. Kristina Thorson won it for Chicago, also giving up four runs.
The Bandits and Thunder will meet three more nights, as Rockford battles to stay alive in the NPF playoff hunt. The Thunder are organizing road trips for all of these games. Contact Aaron Moore for more information.
