Thunder Face Wildcats Monday

Orem, Utah - The Utah Valley Thunder (0-1) will be looking for their first win of the season when they host the New Mexico Wildcats (1-0) tonight at 7 p.m. at the McKay Events Center located on the campus of Utah Valley University.

Utah Valley quarterback Mike Affleck completed 25-of-37 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for two more in the Thunder's 62-34 loss to the Wyoming Cavalry March 23.

Jeff Johnson led the Thunder with 16 catches for 144 yards, while Akamu Aki recorded five catches for 35 yards and three touchdowns.

The Wildcats enter the game after beating the Ogden Knights 42-37 last week in Ogden. New Mexico quarterback B.J. Hall completed 16-of-30 passes for 215 yards and five touchdowns. Lawrence Pullen led the Wildcats with six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns.

Following tonight's contest, the Thunder will be on the road at New Mexico (April 6) and Ogden (April 11) before returning home for three straight home games beginning with Ogden (April 18).
