
Thunder Announce December Open Tryout

PORTLAND - With the 2015-16 AFL Offseason set to kick off with free agent signings beginning this Thursday, November 5, the Portland Thunder are pleased to announce an open tryout will be held at the Oregon Soccer Center (17015 SE 82nd Dr, Clackamas, OR 97015) on Saturday, December 5.
The one-day tryout is open to participants over the age of 18, which possess at least a high-school education, or equivalent, and are not under contract with any other professional football organization. Kickers will not be evaluated at this event.
The Thunder have seen several trialists make appearances over their first two seasons, including former linebacker, and current Calgary Stampeder, Brandon Tett, and defensive back Osagie Odiase.
Registration will begin at 8AM, with workouts and drills beginning at 9AM.
Trialists will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, and broad jump, while later being evaluated in positional and one-on-one drills.
Participants are recommended to wear turf shoes, molded cleats, or tennis shoes during the tryout. Metal spikes of any kind will not be allowed at the event.
