Three Thiefs Stealing the Show in Fargo

Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
(Fargo, ND) It all started a few short years back when the Jet's sniped Robby Philipp who had just helped the Thief River Falls Prowlers to the Section 8A title in his senior season.
Philipp has played in over 65 games, amassed 47 points (14G, 33A) since joining the Jets in 2006. The numbers will only increase due to the hard work and effort that hits the ice day after day.
"It's like old time hockey with friends here at the Coliseum," Philipp commented.
So far through 13 games Philipp leads the team in points with 15 (6G, 9A).
Michael Benedict comes to the Jets as an addition in their defense in defending the division title. After wrapping up his senior year and skating in 23 games collecting 21 points (10G, 11A), Benedict comes to the Jets with hopes of playing college hockey.
"We played together all the way through school and the comfort level continues here with the Jets as you can always rely on them, "Benedict adds.
"Coming back from an injury, Bottem was everything excepted and more getting a hat trick in the section semi finals," Benedict explains.
So far Benedict has appeared in seven games adding one assist while maintaining a -1.
Last but definitely not least Cody Bottem joins the Jets and completes the "Three Thief's." Bottom played in only eight games due to a broken collar bone but provided 15 points (5G, 10A).
"It's nice to be playing at 100% after breaking my collar bone because I get to contribute on a regular basis with the Jets," said Bottem.
"It seems like the old days again playing with Benny and Philipp from our home town," he said with a smile.
"Just imagine if he would have been healthy for the whole season," explains Assistant Coach Aaron Kinslow.
While playing in 10 games this season Bottom has three points (1G, 2A) with a +3.
"It's not by design to have three kids from the same school, we've had success with Thief River Falls HS in the past; and the northern Minnesota area has great character kids as well," head coach Chad Johnson said.
