Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC return to BBVA Stadium to host the Vancouver Whitecaps for 713 Night at 8 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
The popular 713 Night promotion returns for Wednesday's match, giving fans the opportunity to purchase $7 tickets and enjoy $1 hot dogs and $3 beers throughout the evening. Tickets are available at HoustonDynamoFC.com/SingleGame.
The Dynamo look to bounce back after they fell to Minnesota United 2-0 at Allianz Field on Saturday. Houston entered Saturday's game with two victories out of their last three games. Both victories came at home and the Dynamo look to extend their winning streak at home to three games on Wednesday.
Academy product Memo Rodriguez and Maxi Urruti led the Dynamo to a 2-1 victory over Vancouver in the first meeting of the season at BBVA Stadium on May 22. Houston and the Whitecaps played to a 0-0 draw on July 20 in the second meeting of the year. Houston will look to capitalize on their all-time record at home against the Whitecaps and enter with a 6-1-1 record at home against Vancouver.
The Whitecaps enter Wednesday's game with three victories out of their last five games. Their recent run has the Whitecaps three points shy of the seventh spot in the Western Conference and the final spot for the postseason. Brian White led the Caps' to a 1-0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday. The 25-year-old also scored the equalizer against the Colorado Rapids on Sept. 19 to give Vancouver a draw on the road against the third-place Rapids.
The Dynamo close the week on the road against Sporting Kansas City at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday, Oct. 3 at Children's Mercy Park. The match will air live on TUDN and UniMas.

Here are three key points ahead of Wednesday's game:
DYNAMO LOOK TO CAPITALIZE ON HOME FORM: The Dynamo enter Wednesday's game with back-to-back victories at home and look to extend that streak against the Whitecaps. Houston defeated Vancouver earlier this season at BBVA Stadium and improved their record to 6-1-1 against the Whitecaps at home. Vancouver's lone victory in the series came in the opening weeks of the 2018 season. Goals from Memo Rodriguez and Maxi Urruti gave Houston a 2-1 triumph earlier this season and the Dynamo will look bounce back after falling on the road last Saturday. The Dynamo have recently outscored their opponents 6-2 at home and look to find the back of the net after being held scoreless on Saturday. Forward Fafa Picault will likely play a key role due to his recent run of form and he aims to score his 11th goal of the season, a new personal best for the forward who scored 10 goals in 2018 with the Philadelphia Union.
TEENAGE BRINGS EDGE TO BACKLINE: Defender Teenage Hadebe has elevated the Dynamo backline with key contributions throughout the field. The Zimbabwe international leads the team with 59 recoveries since making his MLS debut against the Whitecaps on July 20 and also leads the Dynamo with 75 recoveries. Hadebe adds 25 interceptions since making his debut and has the second highest mark on the backline. The Dynamo will look to Hadebe and MLS veteran Tim Parker to limit a Whitecaps team that has a 3-1-1 record in their last five games.
VANCOUVER MAKES LATE PUSH: The Vancouver Whitecaps enter Wednesday's game with a 3-1-1 record since interim head coach Vanni Sartin took over on the touchline. The Whitecaps currently sit in ninth place just three points shy from a share of the seventh and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Sartin looks to lead the team to their first playoff appearance since 2017 and six out of their last nine games will be against direct rivals for a postseason berth. The Whitecaps offense is led by Christian Dajome and Brian White who combine for 14 goals and five assists. The Dynamo backline will also have to limit Daiber Caicedo and Lucas Cavallini who combine for seven goals and six assists this season.
