Three-Peat for Rush on Top of Sher-Wood CHL Coaches Poll/Power Ranking

December 18, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

GLENDALE, AZ (December 18, 2013) - The Rapid City Rush (18-3-0) have the most wins through 21 games than any team in at least a decade and their strong play and 18-3-0 record have been rewarded with the #1 spot on the CHL's Sher-Wood Power Rankings (Coaches Poll).

The poll is released on or near the beginning and middle of each month throughout the regular season. Each first place vote receives 10 points, second place votes earn 9 points, etc.

The Missouri Mavericks remained the #2 team and are second in the standings to the Rush as well sitting five points behind with a 15-6-1 record. Allen, Quad City and Denver round out the top five with the Americans staying put in their seed and the Mallards and Cutthroats flipping spots.

Once again, it is the middle of the rankings that are the closest with just five points separating the #4 seed from the #7 seed.
