
Three open positions up for grabs this weekend at the Explosion Tryout

MONROE, Wash. - January 5, 2009 - The Snohomish County Explosion Basketball Team announced today that the beginning of training camp will be Feb 2nd 2009 following the open player tryouts being held this Sunday January 11th at 2:00PM at the Monroe Boys and Girls Club.
"Three positions will be handed out to players from this tryout on Sunday and this is the chance for local players to showcase a hidden talent which may have been overlook by other minor league teams." said owner Nathan Mumm. "This weekend's tryout is the chance of a lifetime to get a shot to play basketball with nothing more than a passion and a skill to compete with the speed and pace of the IBL", Coach Weakley stated.
The three week training camp will include a veteran camp invite to players that have played in the IBL or other minor league basketball teams throughout the world. "We have some great players from last year returning to camp and we have invited some new faces to camp to see how they would fit in with the Explosion I encourage everyone to come be a part of Explosion Basketball", says a smiling coach as he looks to start his first action as the leader of his first IBL team.
