Three Marauders Named to FSL All-Star Team

Bradenton, Fla. - Three Bradenton Marauders were named to the Florida State League Mid-Season All-Star Team on Tuesday. Shortstop Alen Hanson, outfielder Gregory Polanco, and starting pitcher Nick Kingham will represent Bradenton and the FSL South at the 52nd Annual FSL All-Star Game on Saturday, June 15 at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium in Dunedin.

Hanson is being honored as a mid-season All Star for the second time in his career. Hanson was an All-Star in the South Atlantic League last season. The switch-hitting shortstop is batting .284 with two home runs and 22 RBI. His five triples are tied for second in the league. Hanson has added 11 steals to the Marauders league-best 86 stolen bases. The FSL recognized Hanson as the Player of the Week for the period May 20-May 26.

Like Hanson, Polanco is making his second straight appearance on a midseason All-Star roster. Polanco leads the Marauders in batting average (.321), home runs (6), RBI (30), and stolen bases (23). He is second in the league in stolen bases.

Kingham is being honored as an All-Star for the first time in his professional career. The right-hander leads the league in strikeouts with 68. Sporting a 6-2 record and 3.24 ERA, Kingham is second in the league in victories. He is ranked fourth in both WHIP (1.04) and batting average against (.220).

Hanson is 20-years-old and in his third professional season. Polanco is 21-years-old and in his fourth professional season. Kingham is 21-years-old and in his fourth professional season.
