
Three major trades follow MLL expansion draft

Boston, MA (November 1, 2005) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced today that three major trades have been made following the 2006 MLL Expansion Draft. The Rochester Rattlers traded goalie Tillman Johnson to Los Angeles. The Boston Cannons traded Kevin Leveille to Chicago. Denver traded John Grant Jr. back to Rochester.
ROCHESTER TRADES TILLMAN JOHNSON TO LOS ANGELES
The Rochester Rattlers parted ways with goaltender Tillman Johnson. The Rattlers sent one of the league's best netminders to Los Angeles. In exchange Rochester received goalie Mike Levin, defenseman Taylor Wray and LA's first round selection (4th Overall) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft. Levin played for both Baltimore and Philadelphia in 2005. Wray has never played in the MLL and was a member of the league's player pool. He graduated from Duke in 2003. Johnson had a stellar rookie season for the Rattlers in 2004, leading the MLL in goals against average (12.65) and save percentage (.640).
BOSTON TRADES KEVIN LEVEILLE TO CHICAGO
Chicago acquired Boston Cannons attackman Kevin Leveille. In exchange the Cannons received midfielders Drew Pfarr and Bill Glading, both drafted by Chicago in the Expansion Draft. Boston also received Chicago's second round pick (14th overall) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate draft. Pfarr played for Baltimore in 2005, while Glading saw time with the Cannons. Leveille is one of the league's premier attackman, finishing the 2005 season second in the MLL in total goals and tied for first in power play goals. On the Chicago end, the trade was made by newly named head coach and general manager Kevin Finneran.
DENVER TRADES JOHN GRANT JR. BACK TO ROCHESTER
Denver traded attackman/midfielder John Grant Jr. back to the Rochester Rattlers. Grant Jr. has played two
MLL seasons, 2001 and 2005, both for the Rattlers. He won the MLL's Warrior Offensive Player of the Year Award in 2001. In addition Denver gave up its third round selection (22nd) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft. In exchange the Rattlers sent Mike Howley to Denver. Rochester also traded its second round selection (17th overall) in the 2006 MLL Collegiate Draft to Denver.
