Three home game weekend starts tonight

(Charlotte, NC) The Charlotte Lady Eagles and Eagles will be combining for a three home game weekend at beautiful Waddell Stadium. The action starts tonight at 5:30 pm when the Charlotte Lady Eagles host the 2003 W-League Champion Hampton Roads Piranhas. Immediately following the Lady Eagles match, the Eagles' mens professional team will host the Northern Virginia Royals, kicking off at 8:00 pm. The Eagles wrap up the weekend at Waddell stadium on Saturday night hosting the West Virginia Chaos at 7:30 pm. Tonight, July 9th is also Domino's night. The first 200 youth fans through the gate will receive a FREE Domino's Sports bottle.

Charlotte Lady Eagles vs. Hampton Roads Piranhas

Tonight's match (Friday July 9th) is a big game for the Lady Eagles in pursuit of the W-League playoffs. Hampton Roads and Charlotte are one and two in the W-League Central Conference Atlantic Division. The Lady Eagles are 7-2-1 for 22 points, and Hampton Roads is the only team that Charlotte has lost to. The Piranhas are 8-0-1 for 25 points to lead the division. Hampton Roads is a powerhouse in the

W-League with the 2003 National Title and currently unbeaten in their last 23 games.

Charlotte Lady Eagles vs. Northern Virginia Royals

The Charlotte Eagles and the Northern Virginia Royals meet tonight for the fourth time this season. Charlotte defeated the Royals handily in the first two away matches in Virginia, 5-0 back on May 15th and 6-0 just last Tuesday, July 6th. The Eagles just squeeked out the third victory over the Royals, 3-2 in Charlotte back on May 15th. Charlotte currently holds second place in the PSL Southern Division at 8-2-1 for 25 points, just one point behind the Division leading Wilmington Hammerheads. The Royals are at the bottom of the Division at 2-12-0 for 6 points.

Charlotte Eagles vs. West Virginia Chaos

The Charlotte Eagles host the West Virginia Chaos of the Premiere Development League (PDL) tomorrow night, Saturday, July 10th at Waddell Stadium. Kickoff is 8:00 pm. This will be the only time for the Eagles and Chaos to meet up this season. West Virginia has had a tough season thus far in the PDL Eastern Conference Mid-Atlantic Division, at 3-10-1 for 10 points. The Eagles are looking for two wins this weekend in hopes of catching the Wilmington Hammerheads for the top spot in the Southern Division.

The Eagles and Lady Eagles play all regular season home games at beautiful Waddell Stadium located on the campus of E.E. Waddell High School, 1 mile west of I-77 on Nations Ford Road (Exit 4).
