Three Hawks Make A-League Team of the Week

(Cincinnati, OH) - Three Riverhawks players have been selected to the A-League Team of the Week for their play last weekend. Goalkeeper Eric Pattison, midfielder Edward Child, and forward Juan Sastoque have all received this honor.

Eric was selected because of his work in securing the Riverhawks 1-0 shutout victory against the Charlotte Eagles. Edward was rewarded for scoring the only goal in the game against Charlotte. Juan was recognized for scoring one of the goals in the 3-2 loss against the Virginia Beach Mariners.

"I am very proud of Eric, Edward, and Juan," said coach Nick Ranieri upon hearing the news. "They played very well and deserve the honor. I hope that we have more players on the list as the season goes on."

Roland Aguilera, a midfielder from Virginia Beach was named the A-League player of the week for his goal and two assists against the Riverhawks.

As an A-League premier team and part of the United Soccer Leagues, the Cincinnati Riverhawks enter its sixth season in 2003. The Riverhawks will open their 2003 home schedule May 2 against their Central Division rivals the Indianapolis Blast at 8:05 pm.
