PORTLAND, April 26, 2009 - The Portland LumberJax have a plethora of school appearances on tap this week before the team's first home playoff game since 2006. On Monday, April 27th, the Jax will be at City View Elementary School from 9-11 a.m. As part of Pacific Power's School Program, the organization makes countless visits to local Oregon schools. The school program promotes the importance of a healthy lifestyle, provides lacrosse instruction, offers well-liked demonstrations and the viewing of the hit Jax School Program DVD.

On Tuesday, April 28th, the team will be at Grandhaven Elementary School from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Then, The Jax will be at Clear Creek Middle School on Wednesday, April 28th from 9-11:30 a.m. to present the school program.

A day later, the Jax finish their fourth and final school appearance of the week by returning to Clear Creek Middle School from 1 -3:30 p.m.

Friday, May 1st is all about the playoffs. Portland (9-7) hosts the San Jose Stealth in a West Division Semifinal playoff game at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden Arena. Tickets start at just $10, but the arena is filling fast. Seats can be reserved by calling the Jax Ticket Line at 1-866-983-5656, at the Rose Quarter Box Office or through most TicketsWest Outlets.

Season ticket holders are already guaranteed seats to the San Jose game as a result of their season ticket packages. New season ticket holders who put down a non-refundable deposit for the 2010 season will receive one FREE playoff ticket per season ticket purchased.
