PORTLAND, January 11, 2009 - The Portland LumberJax begin their week with a school appearance on Monday, January 12th. On Monday, members of the team will be at Riverside Elementary School from 8-11:20 a.m. to present the ever popular School Program. As part of Pacific Power's School Program, the organization makes countless visits to local Oregon schools. The school program promotes the importance of a healthy lifestyle, provides lacrosse instruction, offers well-liked demonstrations and the viewing of the hit Jax School Program DVD.
Then, the Jax will be playing handball the next night as part of the Sunset Athletic Club Handball Challenge.
The week continues on Wednesday, January 14th as the Jax return to Riverside for another appearance.
The week culminates on Friday, January 16th as Portland travels to Edmonton to meet the Rush at 6:30 p.m. at Rexall Place. All NLL games will be streamed FREE this season as part of the NLL Network. To access the broadcast, go to NLL.com.
