St. Charles, MO - The Rio Grande Valley Sol spoiled the St. Louis Attack's home opener by handing the Attack a 60-43 loss in front of 4,034 fans Saturday night at the Family Arena. The loss dropped the Attack's record to 1-1, while the Sol improved to 2-0.
Incomplete passes helped doom the Attack offense. St. Louis completed 39% of attempted passes, while RGV enjoyed 78% complete.
Antoine Hicks, Cordrick Mobley and Danny Young led the Sol's scoring efforts. Hicks and Young each scored three touchdowns, while Mobley scored two. Johnnie King, Marcus Dickinson, Chris Headd and Daryl Grady each contributed touchdowns for St. Louis.
Attack Head Coach Chris McKinney and his players will have one week to find solutions for what went wrong Saturday night as the team is back in action next Saturday, April 11 when they host the Bloomington Edge at the Family Arena. With only six games remaining in the regular season, every game is important and getting back on a winning track is crucial if the team is to realize their goal of winning the 2015 X-Bowl.
