The Seals invite everyone to their open house

[KISSIMMEE, Fla.] - The Florida Seals season is fast approaching and the organization wants to show the fans what they have to offer during the 2005-06 season. Everybody is invited to the final Seals Open House Saturday, September 24 from 2-5pm at the Silver Spurs Arena.

The Seals will have many things to show the fans at their final open house this year. The installation process for the ice plant has begun and part of the boards and ice suites will be set up for fans to see.

In addition season tickets, group tickets and single game tickets will be available for sale. Ticket specials for all levels will be available at the tickets table throughout the day. Fans will be able to pick out their seats by coming to the Silver Spurs and seeing the exact view from any seat inside the arena.

Head Coach Tommy Stewart, Captain Steve Zoryk and Forward Ryan Rivard will be on hand to sign autographs for fans of all ages.

The Seals Ice Skating Academy will hold their first registration during the open house on Saturday. Skaters young and old, experienced and inexperienced can be taught how to skate through the academy. The academy offers learn to skate and learn to play hockey programs, speed skating-freestyle, youth and adult hockey leagues and specialty class and camps. Anyone that registers for a learn to skate or learn to play hockey program during the open house will receive a free pair of skates and a t-shirt courtesy of the Seals Skating Academy. Some restrictions apply.

Get there early as the first 100 fans will get a free Florida Seals T-Shirt when they walk through the door. Each fan that enters the Seals Open House will also be given a raffle ticket. Prizes will be given out each hour ranging from merchandise to tickets.

Kids will be entertained as well with the free interactive kids zone that will be located inside the arena. Parents are encouraged to bring the whole family for entertainment during the event.

The American Red Cross will be on hand as the Seals will raise funds to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. A station will be set up where fans come donate to continue the amazing work the Red Cross has done so far. The Seals will also be holding a silent auction throughout the afternoon with the proceeds going to the American Red Cross.

Get ready for the home opener Saturday, October 29 at the Silver Spurs Arena. The puck will drop for the first ever hockey game in the arena at 7:35 pm versus the Jacksonville Barracudas. Magnet schedules and Cheerstix will be given out. In addition, enjoy the Zooperstars performances throughout the game and 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Captain Mike Eruzione.
