August 29, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Topeka Pilots News Release

With the guys back in town and hard at work in Training Camp, it certainly is starting to feel a lot like hockey season. And while every year sees fan favorites depart for bigger and better opportunities, a strong core of veteran leadership and experience returns. Here are a few more of the RoadRunner vets that have returned for another season at Landon Arena.

#10 Jake Kamrass - Forward

Out of Norcross, GA, Jake Kamrass is entering his third year with the Runners. Jake creates opportunities through work ethic, contributing seven points last season and showing signs of becoming an even greater force on offense. He is an energetic player who's physical approach promises to strengthen this year's lineup.

#20 Tomas Nechala - Defenseman

Joining the team late last season from Slovakia, Nechala impressed on the defensive end and added five points on offense including a nifty behind-the-back shootout goal on his 20th birthday. Nechala ia an above average skating defenseman that will be called upon to play major minutes this season. He has a very high hockey IQ.

#6 Patrick Pollock - Defenseman

A part of the St. Louis contingent that joined the RoadRunners last season, which included Spencer Viele and Drew Kariofiles, Patrick Pollock held his own around the net alongside established veterans Kevin Patterson and Trace Strahle. Coming into his third NAHL season, Pollock will look to take control and be a leader in the defensive zone. Pollock's ability to defend and shut down the opposition will be a big factor in this year's lineup. He is a veteran defenseman who will draw a lot of college interest.

Keep an eye out for the next installment of The Vets. Up next: Tyler Poulsen, Jerad Tafoya, James Ring, and David Powlowski
