FIRE TO TAKE ON ALL-JAPAN SAMURAI WARRIORS... On March 21 at 6:30 P.M. the Fire will take on the All-Japan Samurai Warriors in an exhibition game in Freedom Hall. The Japanese team will be comprised of X-League All-Stars from Japan. This will be the first time a Japanese football team has ever played in America. Tickets for the game are $10 for lower level and $5 for upper level. Season ticket holders will receive free tickets to the game. Proceeds from the game will go to Kosair Charities. LOUISVILLE FIRE/ CHA HEALTH PRESENT ST. X/TRINITY BASKETBALL... The St. X/Trinity basketball game will take place this Friday in Freedom Hall with the Louisville Fire and CHA Health presenting the games. The freshman, JV and Varsity will all play in Freedom Hall beginning at 4:30 P.M. For tickets contact Ticketmaster at 361-3100 or www.ticketmaster.com.

Second Open Try-out Announced... The Fire will hold their second open try-out for the 2004 season on Sunday February 8 at Old Cardinal Stadium. Registration will begin at 10 A.M. and the try-out will start at 11. The cost is $40 and each participant will receive a Louisville Fire work out t-shirt and a ticket to opening night. Participants should wear work out clothes and turf shoes are optional. The try-out will last approximately two hours.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON... The AFL season will kick-off in 9 days, on February 5, with the San Jose Sabercats visiting the Detroit Fury. The AFL on NBC will begin in 12 days on February 8 at 3:00 p.m. In the coming weeks the regional schedule will be released and will appear in the Fire Wire. THIS MONTH'S DRAWING is for a Will Wolford, game MVP ball. The ball has one panel painted with the logos of the teams playing from the game along with Will's name, the date of the game and Will's autograph.

WILL & the CRUISE MAN... Tomorrow night on WHAS 840-AM from 8-9 P.M. Will Wolford will join Tony Cruise to talk some football.

FIRE PLAYERS IN THE AFL... The Fire has three former players in AFL camps. Reggie Hargrove, who played with the Fire in 2001, is in camp with the Detroit Fury. Demont Smith, a WR/DB who joined the Fire in the middle of the 2003 season, has signed with Grand Rapids in his home state of Michigan. Arkee Thompson, a DS for the Fire and af2 all-time interceptions leader, is currently in camp with the Georgia Force.
