The Rocks will open the playoffs against Boone County on Friday at Trinity. The St. X. Tigers and Pat Chitwood finished their regular season with a victory over PRP. The Tigers will play John Hardin this weekend. Fire WR/LB Alfonzo Browning and the J-Town Chargers ended 2003 with a 21-20 loss at Doss. Fire FB/LB Demtrius Forney and the Clarksville Generals lost their second round sectional game to Brownstown last Friday.

DEMONT SMITH SIGNS WITH GRAND RAPIDS... Fire WR/DB Demont Smith signed with the Grand Rapids Rampage of the AFL last week. Demont will play WR/DB for the Rampage as well. Look for a story in next week's Fire Wire about Demont.

WE STILL HAVE SOME JERSEYS LEFT... We have a limited number of game-worn and new non-worn authentic Louisville Fire jerseys for sale, in home black and away white. The jerseys are $130 and can be purchased by calling (502)368-0009 or replying to the Fire Wire.

FINAL NIGHT OF BUDWEISER FLICKBALL... Tomorrow night is your last chance to qualify for the Louisville Finals of Budweiser Flickball. The tournament will take place at Buffalo Wild Wings at Springhurst and the new Louisville Fire cheerleaders will be in attendance.

STILL TAKING SUGGESTIONS... We have received some great suggestions so far about merchandise, but we would like more. If you have any suggestions reply to the Fire Wire.

FORNEY'S BACK... Last week Fire Head Coach Tommy Johnson announced the return of Demetrius Forney to the Fire in 2004. Forney was assigned to the Fire by the league office last week.
