BIG NEWS... The Fire will hold a press conference next Tuesday at 2:00 P.M., at Tailgaters on Floyd Street, to make a major announcement concerning the 2004 season. Take a late lunch next week at Tailgaters and hear the big news first.
WILDFIRES WIN... The Louisville Fire Cheerleaders finally have a name. The fans voted all week and the Wildfires came out as the winner.
YOU CAN BE A WILDFIRE... Auditions for the 2004 WILDFIRES have been announced. They will take place on Saturday November 1 starting at 10:00 A.M. Anyone wishing to audition must be 21 by January 1, 2004. The try-outs will take place at Broadbent Arena and all participants must wear workout or dance attire. The tryouts will consist of two sessions, both taking place on November 1. If you would like more information on the tryouts call 368-0009 and ask for Tricia, or e-mail her at kern@firefootball.com.
FIRE ASSIGNED FIRST PLAYER FOR 2004... The Fire has been assigned WR/DB and former U of L Cardinal Tony Stallings. You may remember Stallings played FB/LB for the Fire in 2002. As more players are assigned to the Fire it will be posted in the Fire Wire.

ROCKS CONTINUE TO ROLL... Fire assistant Oscar Brohm and the Trinity Shamrocks improved to 4-4 on Friday night, with 56-0 win over Southern. The Rocks will battle former Fire OS Anthony Payton and the Fern Creek Tigers this Friday. The Tigers (4-5) are coming off an 18-17 upset win over Eastern. Fire OL/DL coach Pat Chitwood and the St. X Tigers continued their winning ways, with a 21-0 victory over Manual. The Tigers will play Butler on Friday. The J-Town Chargers and Fire WR/LB Alfonzo Browning lost to North Bullitt, 20-13 on Friday. The Chargers (4-4) will take on Fairdale this Friday. The Clarksville Generals and Fire FB/LB Demetrius Forney saw their two game win streak come to a halt on Friday, with a 27-0 loss to Providence. The Generals (2-7) will begin sectional tournament play on Friday night against Union County.
BUDWEISER FLICK BALL AT ST. MATHEWS... Fire Fans come out to Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Mathews tonight to play some Flick ball and watch Maryland take on Georgia Tech. Fire DS Arkee Thompson will be on hand at 8 P.M. to sign autographs. Don't forget you can register to win two tickets to opening night in 2004.
AHHH THE GOOD LIFE... Anyone who buys season tickets this month will be added to the season ticket drawing. This month's prize is for two tickets to Fire owner/operator Will Wolford's suite at the Colts/Jets game on November 16. There will be two winners this month each receiving two tickets.
