
Fire to Help Kickoff the Crusade

The Louisville Fire and the WHAS Crusade for Children announced today that the May 15th Louisville Fire home game will help kickoff the 2004 Crusade.
On this game night, the Louisville Fire and its fans will salute all of the firefighters who work tirelessly to raise money for the WHAS Crusade for Children.
Special Crusade â related events that will be held at this game include:
- On-field ceremonies honoring the firefighters.
- Players will wear a special Crusade jersey during the game. These jerseys will be auctioned off on the field after the game with proceeds going to the Crusade for Children.
- Antique fire truck show and parade during the Fire tailgate party.
- Halftime flag football game between the firefighters. Mayor Jerry Abramson is presently scheduled to be the referee.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the jersey auction will go to the WHAS Crusade for Children.
The Louisville Fire season will begin in April 2004 in Freedom Hall. Season tickets start at $49 and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by calling 368-0009.
